STUDENT’S WELFARE ACTIVITIES

Student’s Welfare activities of Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management focus on the overall development of students. The college conducts several activities through various clubs & cells which enable the students to nourish their personality and career. The college forms a Student’s Council every year which organizes all the extra- curricular activities for each academic year.

The college provides all basic amenities like clean drinking water, comfortable furniture, spacious class rooms with proper electricity facility, modern computer labs with internet connection, separate toilets for boys & girls, locker rooms, hostel for boys & girls, transport facility, library with books, journals, newspapers & periodicals, etc; 

We have dedicated teachers who are distinguished by their commitment to the achievement of their students. They conduct the regular classes, Power Point presentations, class tests, assignment presentations, model examinations, timely interactions with the parents and providing counseling to students who need more attention.

The college is well equipped with the necessary state-of-the-art infrastructure to conduct the theory & practical classes and facilitate all types of cultural activities, including dance, music, painting, etc;

The Language lab of our college provides a space for language learning which helps the students to improve their communication skills.

We conduct Annual Sports competitions, cultural/traditional festivals like Onam, Christmas etc; The College encourages participation of the students in State and National level sports activities organized at different institutions. College conducts Annual Sports Meet whereby our students get a platform to exhibit their talents in sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, carom, chess, and athletics. The annual Food Festival ‘Cater’s Act’ gives an opportunity to students to expose their cooking talents to the public.

As our college is attached to Hotel Moti Mahal, the students are given facility to use the gymnasium at reasonable rate.

Roaster training at Hotel Moti Mahal on rotation basis makes the students to acquire the practical knowledge in the core departments of the hotel.

The star batch system and remedial classes helps the weaker students to improve their academic performance.

The college encourages student’s participation in Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, Cultural activities, Cooking competitions, Management Fest, and various competitions organized by the other colleges across the country. The expense for the same is taken care by the college itself.

We celebrate the National Days, International Yoga Day, Social activities such as Blood Donation Camp, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Charity works, Youth Skill Day, Mathru Bhasha Day etc; which make our students more responsible towards the society. The NSS (National Service Scheme) and Youth Red-cross units take care of all the social activities of the college.

The Alumni Association of our college helps the students in placements and also extends their hands in charity works towards the needy people of the society.

Students are given awards & certificates during the Annual Day Celebrations for their excellence in academic and other activities.

The college provides the medical & insurance facility for all the students as per the policy of management.  The first –aid facility is provided within the college itself.

The college provides all the documents required for availing the ‘Educational Loan’ from the banks.

The Training & Placement cell of the college arranges the On-Job-Training for all the students in India & abroad and conducts campus interviews whereby ensures that all the eligible students are placed in the internationally branded hotel groups. Career guidance classes are also conducted.

Add-on courses conducted by the college enable the students to learn additional ‘certified short-term courses’ in core subjects of hotel management.

Entrepreneurship cell of our college provides guidance to our students who wish to start their own enterprises after the successful completion of the course.

The National Conference provides the platform to our students to present their papers and to listen to many research scholars who present their research papers every year.

College Magazine ‘Vision, is published annually under an editorial board consisting of students of Literary Club who have a flair for writing.

The Anti Ragging Cell, Women Anti-harassment cell, Human Rights Cell, SC/ST Cell etc; protect the students from various issues and provide a space to address their complaints.

The college has established ‘Grievance Redressal Mechanism’ whereby the students can address their complaints through the link available in the college website. The Internal Complaint Committee is also in place.
