ALUMNI MINUTES OF MEETINGS
Minutes of Meeting by Alumni Association
4th March 2016
- All the Alumni members and faculty of Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management gathered @ Vajra Hall, Hotel Moti Mahal, Mangalore @ 6 pm.
- Mr. Shyam Prasad, Executive Director of Hotel Moti Mahal was the chief guest. Mr. Prasanna Shetty, Principal of LMCHM and Mr. Terence Rodrigues were also present to grace the meeting.
- Mrs. Neena Umesh, faculty of MMCHM welcomed the alumni and the dignitaries on stage.
- Mr. Nikilesh Nair mastered the ceremony.
- The meeting started off with the Lighting the Lamp and later Mr. Shyam Prasad addressed the alumni their importance to the college and in turn the opportunity to the alumni to be part of the college even though they have finished their degree.
- Mr. Terence Rodrigues, Principal MMCHM spoke about the aims and objectives of the Alumni Association.
- Some of our Alumni like Mr. Amarendra, Mr. Amith Naik, Mr. Sandilya, Mr. Fayaz shared their experiences during college life.
Alumni Meet -2017
The Alumni Meet was held on March 9th 2017, 10 am @ Vajra Hall, Hotel Moti Mahal, Falnir Road, Mangaluru. The Alumni were welcomed by the faculties and students. Alumni and past faculty members were present for the Alumni Meet 2017. The Meet was opened by welcoming the alumni by the Principal. Later one of the Alumni Mr. Rupinder (Batch 1994) shared his memories and his success and his journey till date. Shawn Fernandez (batch 1994) also added his experience and being one of the members in organising the event highlighted about the event.
At 11 am all the alumni gathered at the Food & Production Lab for the cookery competition for the alumni and present students team. Mr. Nischal, F&B faculty briefed the participant teams regarding the rules and regulations of the competition. Mr. Vijay Pai and Mr. Amar Cherian ( past faculties) judged the cookery competition (cooking without fire). Later Mocktail competition was held for the Alumni and present students @ the F&B Service Lab and it was judged by Mr. Vijay Pai and Mr. Amar Cherian. Later Lunch was arranged at the Tai Chien Restaurant.
At 3.30pm All the Alumni along with the faculty members of MMCHM left for the orphanage Sneha Deep @ Bejai Kapikad, Mangalore. A donation of Rs.60,000/- (Cheque from Canara Bank) and provisional items for the orphanage was handed over to the In-Charge Ms.Tabu. The Alumni were taken around the orphanage and had the opportunity to communicate with the kids. After returning from the Orphanage, the winners of the Cookery and Mocktail competition were announced and the prizes distributed. Mrs. Neena Umesh, HOD, Computers welcomed the alumni. The Alumni penned down their experience in the Response books. Alumni had come from far and wide and they shared their memories about college days and experiences and wished the college Silver Jubilee success.
